Pubic Hair: To Groom or Not to Groom?

Maybe it’s just me, but for me I couldn’t care less about how a vagina looks. That’s because throughout my sexual career I’ve learned that touching a vagina is way sweeter than looking at them.

There’s always been a big debate to groom or not to groom. Ever since that episode of Sex and the City where Carrie goes to L.A. to get a wax, women have been brainwashed into thinking that a hairless vagina or a vajazzled vagina was the best way to impress their men.

Well that’s apparently not true.

So say goodbye to painful vagina waxing and diamond encrusted labias because hair is back in!

1,000 men were polled by a wax company called Nads on their pubic hair preferences. The most popular look? Trimmed and tidy. Not too much hair, not totally bald, just right.

43% of the men surveyed preferred women to look as natural as possible with no bikini hair overspill. Meaning trimmed and waxed edges. A “Bermuda Triangle” of pubic hair, if you will.

17% liked the Brazilian (aka Landing Strip) the best, 15% liked heart-shaped pubic hair (presumably because they didn’t take the survey seriously), and only 12% liked the Hollywood, which is when a woman’s vagina is completely bald.

But before you give up on waxing completely, it’s important to remember that pubic grooming is the reason crabs/pubic lice are going extinct. I’ve never had a bikini wax but I’d be willing to get one if only to ensure the extinction of crabs.

Also, a study in the Journal of Sexual Medicine surveyed 2,453 women over a five week period on their pubic hair grooming habits and their sexual activities. The women who shaved or waxed had a greater interest in sex, masturbated more, had more casual sex, and had more sex in general.

So most men prefer a little hair but women are more interested in sex when they shave or wax. What a pickle.

My advice is to do whatever you want with your pubic hair. It’s your pubic hair after all
