Pure: The Sex App

Too good to be true right?

Not so.

Finally, it’s the sex app we’ve all been waiting for.

It’s called “PURE” and it promises, “…about giving men and women freedom and choice. It can be as romantic or as practical as its users choose to make it.”

How social media is affecting the porn industry

Image

Abella Anderson

Social media has obviously affected how people interact with each other.

For better or for worse things are different now.

There is one positive change though and interestingly enough it’s for pornstars.

As the Sex.com Blog points out:

“…social media has made expressing yourself in 140 characters (Twitter) or putting a shitty filter over a shitty picture of some shitty food (Instagram) a lot easier. Social media has also given personalities to pornstars and a way to interact with their fans that wasn’t there before.

Pre-social media, the only things we knew about your favorite pornstar was what she would say in interviews or the beginning of a porn scene, which isn’t an accurate depiction of their personality. Now the connection between fan and pornstar is there, which is great because girls can use social media to accurately market themselves. I don’t know about you but I think knowing details about a certain pornstar helps me decide which pornstars I like. Without these details, there are so many babes coming in and out of the industry that it would be impossible to keep track of who I liked and who I didn’t.

Take for example Abella Anderson liking the Miami Heat. Even though I hate the Miami Heat, the fact that Abella Anderson is a passionate basketball fan makes me more attracted to her.

However, with this power to communicate their personalities there is also the responsibility to let them know when it’s over.”

That’s one way of looking at it.

Couple Seeking Woman: The Needle in the Haystack

Image

Venice Bloggs and Ryan Bloggs are a husband and wife team that write one of the best sex blogs on the internet: FuckBlogging.com.

Venice Bloggs was asked by The Sex.com Blog if she would be willing to do a guest post for them and she was nice enough to oblige. So please enjoy her take on the complications of finding a woman for a happily married threesome.

On our blog, I’ve made it very clear that I was ready and willing to lose my “girlginity,” which basically means being with a woman sexually. But that doesn’t mean that because I’ve had a sexual awakening I’m ready to pounce on anything with a pair of hot tits and a pussy, and it certainly doesn’t mean I get a free pass to fuck any woman I want.  There’s a process, if you will, in seeking a woman who we will be allowing into our lives.  This complicated process would be akin to finding the proverbial needle in a haystack.

By putting our business out there for the world to read and judge us by, I realize that I might be scaring off potential “partners,” but conversely, it will also allow me to broadcast my requirements, my prerequisites, and my standards – something everyone should do with every sexual partner in order to get as close to exactly what they want.  Be picky, don’t settle.

I won’t be jumping into anything because I have so much to consider.  I’m not single; I’ve found my soul mate.  But now, I’m on a mission to find my “holemate,” so to speak.  I’m not looking for a female version of my man or a second wife for him.  For a relationship like mine and Ryan’s, our ideal triad would be filled by a female agreeable to a no-strings-attached situation, which should not be misconstrued as her constant availability for a booty call.  In fact, that is the exact opposite of what I want.  I’m interested in finding a friend, a good friend, one who I can talk to and understand my marriage and be open with my limitations.

Ryan has been a loyal man to me, so rewarding him by adding a female to our sex life while also exploring my bi-curious side would serve us both.  And I would absolutely love to spoil my man in a safe, reciprocated way.  We’re a territorial couple, but there are exceptions.  Ryan would allow me and her to be 100% intimate with each other in any way.  However, I’d want Ryan to be with me.  This is where things get complicated, as I do not want Ryan to be a creeper in the corner.

Premature Ejaculation and What Women Want

Image

I used to suffer from premature ejaculation.

Over time I’ve gotten over it but it’s really humiliating and emasculating.

I tried every fucking premature ejaculation gimmick in the world and nothing worked. I only became more discouraged and self-conscious.

I wish someone had show me this when I was struggling:

Promescent Penis Numbing Spray Revisited

C Dusty tried out a new penis numbing spray that’s supposed to cure premature ejaculation and he tore it a new one.

My favorite part:

“…I asked my fly mamacita if I did suffer from premature ejaculation, would she prefer that I numb my penis on a regular basis or ejaculate prematurely?

Being the cool chick that she is, my fly mamacita told me, “I’d rather have sex that lasted less than a minute than do whatever we just did.'”

Nice. More men need to know.

Nudie Magazines Facing Ban, But Why Now?

Letter to the Guardian from Lose the Lads’ Mags:

The Lose the Lads’ Mags campaign by UK Feminista and Object is calling on high-street retailers to immediately withdraw lads’ mags and papers featuring pornographic front covers from their stores. Each one of these stores is a workplace. Displaying these publications in workplaces, and/or requiring staff to handle them in the course of their jobs, may amount to sex discrimination and sexual harassment contrary to the Equality Act 2010. Similarly, exposing customers to these publications in the process of displaying them is capable of giving rise to breaches of the Equality Act.

High-street retailers are exposing staff and, in some cases, customers to publications whose handling and display may breach equality legislation. Displaying lads’ mags and pornographic papers in “mainstream” shops results in the involuntary exposure of staff and, in some cases, customers to pornographic images.

I don’t understand why this group is attacking Lads’ Mags. They really aren’t offensive, at least to me. The photography is complimentary to the nudity.

Not to mention, who would want to attack print media in this day and age? Don’t they have enough problems?

The Girl’s Porn Parody

HBO-Girls-cast

By now you’ve heard that there’s a Girl porn parody in the works.

You’re either excited for it because you think Alison Williams is going to be in it or you’re upset by it like Lena Dunham or you’re indifferent because porn parodies is just what happens to things that have entered our cultural consciousness.

Though not really an opinion, this was the Sex.com Blog‘s reaction was to reflect on the cumshot that was laid on Shiri Appleby by Adam:

People weren’t sure if they were witnessing the first-ever TV-rape or TV-cumshot. Either way, this sex scene is not erotic or arousing in any way. It’s disturbing because Adam behaves in an aggressive manner that’s only really shown in pornography.

I’ve heard people (mostly feminists) describe cumshots as aggressive and humiliating to women before, but I had trouble seeing it from that perspective because it’s never really framed that way in porn videos (I’m not counting bukkake videos by the way because that’s just plain crazy and gross). However, after watching this scene I realized that it is aggressive and humiliating though we’re not shown that in porn videos. This is how pornographic sex exists in the real world and this is exactly the skewed idea of sex created by the proliferation of porn and  that Lena Dunham was tweeting about.

“When I first started kissing boys,” she told Frank Bruni, ”I remember noticing things, certain behaviors, where I thought, ‘There’s no way you learned that anywhere but on YouPorn.com. There’s no way any teenage girl taught you and reinforced that behavior.’”

I thought maybe that meant we would never see a Girls porn parody because of how the show has juxtaposed pornographic sex with real intimate sex. But hey, I guess I was wrong.

Maybe it’s just me, but for me I really think it’s cool that they are willing to speak so frankly about pornography despite being a porn site. If you guys aren’t already all over the Sex.com Blog, you’re missing out.

Pinterest, Sex.com, and Gender Views on Porn

Image

“Because our site is based off a system that mostly appeals to women and the content traditionally appeals to men, I’ve been wondering after a year of Sex.com, who uses Sex.com more, men or women? Is Sex.com‘s pin and board style finally attracting a strong female audience to porn? Or have men learned to nest with the content that they find, debunking Jerry Seinfeld‘s theory?”

via The Sex.com Blog.

It’s true. Sex.com is styled for women but the content is all for men.

Vote to let them know if men are nesting or if women are watching porn!
